Protecting Ourselves from Slips, Trips and Falls
In 2015, 33,381 Americans died as a result of falls in the home and community setting and an additional 2.8 million people were treated in emergency department visits. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths among adults age 67 and older and are the second leading cause of death for ages 66 and older.
