Introduction to Work Enviroment Tour
If you have taken or are scheduled to take your “24hr New Miner” or “Experienced Miner” course before the day of the tour we can issue you a full certificate on the day of the tour.
If you have taken or are scheduled to take the class with the Utah Safety Council (before the tour) we can verify that on our own system and issue you your full certificate the day of the tour. If you took the class at another location email us at adetering@utahsafetycouncil.org or call at (801)746-7233 Ext. 304 to give your full legal name (to make your certificate) and verification (you can email your verification, bring it in office, or bring it to the tour if you contact us prior) of taking the full course the Wednesday before the Saturday your so we can issue you your full certificate.
If you do not send us your information by the Wednesday before the tour we will issue you a partial certificate verifying that you took the tour. Once you contact us and verify you have taken the class we will issue you a full certificate. If you would like to take the tour before taking the class with us just touch base with us at some point so we can verify and giver you a full certificate at the end of class.

Registration closes Wednesday at Midnight.
The Introduction to Work Environment is a MSHA requirement for all students taking a New Miner or Experienced Miner course. It includes a tour of any Part 48 mine and must be completed by a certified MSHA instructor.
The Utah Safety Council is offering this tour for our students contracted with Rio Tinto / Kennecott. Approval must be received before students arrive onsite for the tour.
