Asbestos has been used for centuries because of its fire retardant and insulation properties. Asbestos fibers, when bonded together, pose no significant health risk. However, if the bond is disturbed and the asbestos fibers become airborne, they can prose a significant health risk. This video reviews the health hazards of asbestos exposure, and basic precautions that should be taken when working with asbestos. It can be used to supplement OSHA required "awareness" training.
